Care depends on the exact materials, paint system, fabrics and electronics in your item. Follow the instructions supplied with the finished piece; this page is a starting point, not a replacement for them.

Painted helmets and masks

Handle painted surfaces with clean hands and support the whole piece when lifting. Avoid impact, excessive heat and strong cleaning chemicals. Ask before using a solvent or abrasive product on a finish. Store the item so fragile edges and projections are not carrying its weight.

Flight suits and fabrics

Check the garment-specific cleaning instructions before washing. Remove detachable rigid parts and electronics as directed. Different fabrics, linings and finishes may require different treatment; do not assume the whole costume can be machine washed.

Leather and soft parts

Let damp items dry naturally away from direct heat. Test any care product only as directed for that material and finish. Regularly inspect attachment points and fastenings, especially before wearing a complete outfit.

Electronics

Use only the specified power source and follow the supplied instructions. Disconnect power before storage or maintenance where instructed. Keep components dry unless their specification explicitly permits moisture exposure. Contact us if a connector, wire or enclosure is damaged.
